a) The league will be governed by the CHA rules of hockey with the following
exceptions:

i) No body checking
ii) Slap shots (a player raising his stick above the knee) are not
permitted.
iii) Each team will require 6 skaters and 1 goalie to start a game.
iv) Goaltenders are the only players that may be “borrowed” from
another team in the league.
v) In the event that the on ice officials have to run the clock due to
ice time constraints by the arena, each team must “change on
the fly” for the remainder of the game. If a team changes, or
attempts to change during a stoppage in play while the clock is
running, a penalty shot will be awarded to the opposing team.
Teams may change after a goal or after a penalty is called
during running time.
vi) The designated home team on the schedule will be responsible
for payments to the referees. Payment should be made prior to
the game.
vii) No red line for the purpose of two line passes.

b) Prior to each game, the clock will be set for 3 minutes. When this time
has expired, the referee will proceed to center ice to start the game. If a
time has not iced the required number of players or is not prepared to start
the game, they will be assessed a minor penalty.

c) Each game will consist of two, 15 minute stop time periods.
