With another solid regular season in the books.
The semi finals saw Goalline.ca square off against the Flyers in a heated rematch from last years semi finals. Game 1 went to Goalline with a score of 2-1, game 2 went to the Flyers in a shootout with a high scoring game of 7-6 which set the stage for game 3. In game 3 it was the Flyers who went up 2-0 but Goalline came back to answer by making it 2-2. With 5 miuntes left in the last period Jeff Peddle scored the game winner pushing the Flyers on to the Finals with a chance of repeating as HMHL champs.
The other semi was also a rematch of last years semi with Empower going up agianst Century 21. There was drama coming down the stretch of the regular season as Empower and Steele battled hard to get the last playoff spot. With a sour taste of loosing out in the finals last year Century 21 rolled to a 2 game sweep with scores of 3-1 and 5-3.
With the stage, a rematch of last years finals game 1 could not have gone any better by heading to a shootout locked at 4-4. In the shootout it was Century 21's Ryan Veniot and Matt Jardine scoring to the Flyers lone goal by Jared Romyn. Final score for game 1, 5-4 for Centruty 21. With the championship on the line and the HMHL trophy in the building the Green Machine meant business by going up 3-1 in the first period with goals by Matt Jardine, Lary Gallant and Ryan Vienot. The game winner came in the second period from Brad Smith who put Century 21 up 4-3 after goals from Rene George, Matt Hessian and Jardine Romyn made things interesting. The insurance goal came from Veniot to put the game out of reach and capturing Century 21's second title in 3 years with a score if 5-3.
